Yoga In A Bad Economy

These are some hard times many without jobs and it is felt and heard everywhere. I know for me yoga and meditation have helped me and I often pass that along. All these eastern therapies do is by trying to balance ones self from being overwhelmed in a world where it is quite easy to do with a million things in our lists. Take a break learn yoga, meditate and take life one step at a time.

Jobs!

There are many ways to look for jobs. One way is to go online sites that can help you look for jobs. Another way is to look the temporary hiring companies which help people find jobs in their own niche position. There are government agencies that also help find jobs. One of the best ways to be employable is to have a good education as a leverage when hunting for employment. Happy job hunting.

Marijuana politics

FEDERAL MARIJUANA PROHIBITION TO END? Reps. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) and Ron Paul (R-Texas), as well as other lawmakers, will have proposed a bill today to end the 73-year old federal prohibition on marijuana. According to a press release by the Marijuana Policy Project, the legislation would “limit the federal government’s role in marijuana enforcement to cross-border or inter-state smuggling, allowing people to legally grow, use or sell marijuana in states where it is legal.”

New York City Outdoor Smoking Ban

Tourists in New York might find that the air is that little bit fresher on their next visit to Central Park after a ban on outdoor smoking came into effect on Monday.
Smokers can no longer legally light up in the city’s public parks, beaches and promenades. Pedestrian plazas are also no smoking zones, including the ones in Times Square and Herald Square. But many smokers said they would ignore the ban, despite the threat of a $50 fine.

99ers the forgotten victims

There is a part of the population that we call 99ers. These were people many well-educated and gainfully employed that have been out of work over 99 weeks. pulation. Leaving these millions, jobless because of a recession is not economically viable. I hope we as a country start to see that we need to see ourselves in these 99ers. They are no more than images of your neighbor, friend , or a brother. There needs to be a solution for the millions that will be added to this list , but will have no added benefits. If no benefits then where are the jobs they ask? This talk needs to turn into action because too many people are being affected by this.

Kicking Around the Bill of Rights: Fourth Amendment

Gross.  I feel sick that we have reduced ourselves to such a disturbing bill that allows the trampling of the fourth amendment rights.  The ACLU was the few organizations that vehemently opposes the bill! Id like to know WHY Barack voted for it.  I know that he tried to strip the immunity from the bill but still to vote for it is uncalled for.  I am just disgusted.

Update: Second Amendment Right To Bear Arms

It looks like the supreme court ruling today allows the public to a right to bear arms. The biggest difference between now and previously is that gun rights related directly to a military or militia are more relaxed and personal gun rights now exist. You now have the right to carry and bear arms for personal safety uses. Whats the good word? What do you guys think? The ruling was a close 5-4 ruling by the supreme court.

How High

How high was such a great movie! I was reading over some of my previous posts and one of the top 10 I have written was one about the failure of drug policy specifically geared towards marijuana. I think its atrocious that we continue to keep it illegal but, as we are slowly realizing, it is becoming more and more accepted in the mainstream and media. How high is still a great movie though! Watch it if you haven’t already done so. If you have, watch it again! Its how high -er even more the second time around lol

Brian Mueller Resigns From University of Phoenix

It looks like Brian Mueller has resigned from University of Phoenix as a CEO. However, many people have no idea why (including a few reputable news organizations). With a bit of searching, the information is clear: he has taken a new position as the CEO of Grand Canyon University. Here is the 411. Mucho interesting!
