How high was such a great movie! I was reading over some of my previous posts and one of the top 10 I have written was one about the failure of drug policy specifically geared towards marijuana. I think its atrocious that we continue to keep it illegal but, as we are slowly realizing, it is becoming more and more accepted in the mainstream and media. How high is still a great movie though! Watch it if you haven’t already done so. If you have, watch it again! Its how high -er even more the second time around lol

I find that many people do not understand the benefits of Marijuana. The people I am referring to are our politicians and many others who think that Marijuana is worse than alcohol or cigarette smoke. I think our perception is such because of our failed marijuana policy (and our countries lack of personal education). Primarily among our government. The reason for it being on a politics blog is because I am a staunch supporter of marijuana legalization for medicinal purposes and at the decriminalization of it for recreational purposes. My primary concern is the inability of our government to provide enough statistical reasoning to justify its classification of a drug which is as harsh as things like crack. I think most of us realize it is not as bad as crack but the laws state otherwise. In recent years, the policy through the government has gone through changes from playing scare tactics that don’t work to this commercial i saw the other day. I think if I could hear my dog telling me that I shouldn’t smoke weed perhaps my biggest concern SHOULDN’T be that I smoke weed but that my dog is talking and I am listening to him. What an asinine commercial. Is that what we have gone to? At least lie to me and tell me it will cause me gangrene. At least that way, you will influence a few southern states. You can find some GREAT information from NORML including recent SOUND medical research about Marijuana. If anything, it will shed some light on the con’s and most importantly, the pro’s of Marijuana. Here are some more facts. Please, write your congressman and ensure that your voice is heard!!!
